Support for seven strawberry farmers in Skenderaj!
[NT11]] has completed the distribution of the support package and continues to provide advisory services and professional assistance to seven beneficiary farmers from the Municipality of Skenderaj, who have already planted strawberry saplings.
After selecting the beneficiary farmers in the horticulture sector, the distribution of the support package was carried out, which includes:
8,000 strawberry seedlings, of the Aprica and Albion varieties, for an area of 1,500 m²;
A drip irrigation system, together with accompanying inputs and venture;
Professional training and counseling for beneficiaries throughout the cultivation process.
All beneficiaries have carried out the necessary activities for soil preparation, seedling planting, installation and use of the irrigation system, as well as further crop care, in accordance with the recommendations of the experts of IADK.
Through this support, we aim to contribute to increasing production, improving incomes, and creating sustainable opportunities for employment and economic development in rural areas.
The activity was carried out within the framework of the project "Improving employment and income-generating opportunities in rural areas," funded by Bread for the World (BftW), Germany, and co-financed by partner municipalities and beneficiaries.
