Organization "The Initiative for the Development of Agriculture of Kosovo" (IADK) is implementing the project "Creation of jobs in agriculture" 18-month project (2020-2022]). The project is funded by the European Union through the IPA cross-border cooperation program between Montenegro and Kosovo. The project activities in the Montenegrin section will be implemented by The capital Podgorica, while in the part of Kosovo (Peja and Istog), the implementing body of project activities is IADK.
The project aims to create jobs in agriculture and create opportunities for generating income from this sector as well as improving the situation socio-economic in the territories where the project operates.
Within the framework of activities The project planned the formation of two groups of 20 participants each from the two municipalities involved in the project, for which initially Capacity-building training in the medicinal plant cultivation sector and aromatic sector, a sector with many opportunities for employment, development, and generation income. These trainings will are designed in such a way as to meet the demands of farmers and the market, which will include the best practices in agriculture for the production of MAP.
There will be five trainings (5) days and tentatively will be carried out during January 2021.
After the conclusion of trainings, successful candidates will have the opportunity to apply for grants for raising areas with medicinal and aromatic plants. Support package It will include: medicinal plant seedlings, an irrigation system, a mechanism for light agricultural and natural dryers.

THE BASIC CRITERIA THAT CANDIDATES MUST MEET ARE:
a) To be unemployed and active in agricultural activities;
b) To have resources to engage in agriculture (land, water, workforce);
c) To have readiness to participate in all activities to establish capacities;
d) Have ideas to create employment opportunities and generate income;
e) To have have suitable land for cultivating MAPs;
f) Women and Young people will have priority in the selection process.
