On November 20, 2019, a study visit was conducted with groups of young people who had completed a training program in the fruit processing sector, made possible by the project "Building the Professional Capacities of Youth in the Agricultural Sector."
The visit took place at the Fruit and Vegetable Processing Unit in the village of Pleshinë in the Municipality of Ferizaj, to Ms. Lumturije Maloku, who last year was supported by IADK with professional equipment for the development of this activity.
The group of young people from Kamenica and Gjilan received information from the owner of this business about how she started processing small fruits, the drying and packaging methods, the export of these products to the Swiss market, as well as about facilitating the work done by the equipment provided by IADK.
For the young people trained in the fruit processing sector, this visit was an encouragement and motivation on how success should and can be achieved in a short time if there is the will and proper dedication to the work.
The curious young people enjoyed various types of dried fruits and other processed products, creating a perfect environment in terms of hygiene of the spaces and work equipment, as well as the quality of processed products.
[NT9]] after this visit, as part of the project implementation, supported these two groups in purchasing several essential work equipment, which will be used by the youth during the development of activities in the processing of agricultural products.
