Around of the project
The organization "Initiative for Agricultural Development" of Kosovo" (IADK), is implementing the project "Improvement employment and opportunities for income generation in rural areas of Kosovo", a three-year project (2023-2025]), supported by the donor "Bread for the World" by Germany and co-financed by partner municipalities. Through project activities, we aim to economically empower women and girls in rural areas, offering them equal opportunities for vocational training and economic development. Experiences from previous projects have shown that Women who gain professional skills manage to improve their status socio-economic, contributing to family welfare and gaining financial independence.
During 2025, IADK plans to form a a group of 15 women/girls from the Municipality of Skenderaj to attend the trainings in the qualification "Preservatives of fruits, vegetables, and similar", validated by the National Qualifications Authority (AKK).
The project also foresees support with grants totaling €15,000.00, with the aim the establishment of two processing units. Only Participants who successfully complete the training and certification will have the opportunity to apply for grants, from which two beneficiaries will be selected for support with equipment for lifting processing units.
We invite interested women/girls from the Municipality of Skenderaj to apply for professional training in tree processing and vegetables, where after completing the training they will have the opportunity to apply for grant benefits.
Criteria that must be completed for application
· Applicants must be from the municipality of Skenderaj
· Applicants must be between 16 and 50 years old, Applicants with primary and secondary education are encouraged.
· Applicants who are unemployed heads of households will have selection priority
· Applicants must be willing to participate in professional training
· Applicants must be active in processing food and those interested in opening business or self-employment
The Documents for application
· Applications can be obtained at the offices of IADK or the offices of the Directorate for Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development of the Municipality of Skenderaj, or via email by contacting artiola.xhaa@hotmail.com and sylejmanbunjaku@hotmail.com.
· The application must include all the requested information, and be submitted to the offices of IADK or the offices of to the Directorate for Agriculture of the Skenderaj Municipality, and it can also be sent in electronic form to the email addresses: artiola.xhaa@hotmail.com and sylejmanbunjaku@hotmail.com.
· Along with the application, the applicant must submit also:
a. The copy of identity card
b. The certificate family member
c. The copy of degree of schooling
Note: selected candidates are required to have proof of land ownership ("possession sheet"), this document is not required at the stage of application for training.
