Successful maintenance and beekeeping require dedication, work, and investment. In this regard, the organization IADK plays an important role in the development of beekeeping through grants and training. Safet Peci from the village of Zhazhë is the beneficiary of beehives and beekeeping equipment, an activity aimed at developing the beekeeping sector.
The support provided will help the beekeeper manage the apiary, increase the number of bees, and will also impact the improvement of the quality and quantity of honey, which will positively impact the material income of the seven-member family.
Safeti and his wife expect this year to be successful in terms of both quantity and quality of honey, as part of the support will also include direct advice that will be provided to the beekeeper by the expert from IADK, at any stage when needed.
The activity is part of the project "Supporting Social Entrepreneurship and Promoting Socio-Economic Empowerment in Minority Communities in Kosovo," a project supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), supported by the DRC and implementer IADK.
