Agricultural Development in Obiliq – Concrete support for farmers!

Agricultural Development in Obiliq – Concrete support for farmers!

The agriculture and rural development sector remains a key pillar for income generation among minority communities and vulnerable groups in Kosovo. To strengthen this sector, IADK has supported 17 farmers in the Municipality of Obiliq with modern agricultural equipment, including mechanisms for vegetable cultivation, for the livestock sector, as well as greenhouses that directly contribute to increasing productivity and production quality.
As part of this initiative, the following have been supported:
-15 beneficiary farmers with various agricultural equipment, which will help increase efficiency and productivity;
-Two greenhouses of 120m2 each have been installed, equipped with modern irrigation systems and supporting inputs, which will serve as practical models for agricultural production.
In addition to equipment support, IADK will also offer practical training, equipping beneficiaries with the necessary knowledge to make the most of this assistance. This is just one step towards strengthening local agriculture and sustainable economic development in rural communities.
This cooperation is part of the project "Empowering Rural Communities through Agricultural Development," funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and represented by the Embassy of Sweden in Pristina. The project funds are managed by the Danish Refugee Council, while its implementation will be carried out by the Kosovo Agriculture Development Initiative ([NT2]]).
