Addressing climate change and digitalization in agriculture – a necessity for the future of our farmers

Climate change is now a reality, and its impact is felt more and more each year in our agriculture, from production volume to product quality. Climate change and digitalization are often discussed, but besides raising awareness, undertaking supportive measures is also vital.
For this reason, IADK organized four Roundtables during November-December 2025 (two on addressing climate change and two on the digitalization of agriculture), with a total of 88 participants, bringing together government and municipal institutions, experts, farmers, and other important actors from the agricultural sector. The Roundtables aimed to:
Presentation of the findings of the feasibility study conducted by local and foreign experts in the field of digitalization and climate change.
Presentation of models and practical interventions that IADK has implemented to help farmers adapt to climate challenges and digitalization in agriculture.
These meetings turned into a valuable space for exchanging experiences, identifying needs, and presenting models that are already delivering visible results on farms.
[NT5]] remains committed to continuing to prioritize addressing climate change issues and supporting farmers in modernizing and automating their agricultural activities.
This activity was carried out within the framework of the project "Improving employment and income-generating opportunities in rural areas of Kosovo," funded by the donor BfdW from Germany.
