The Municipality of Peja has developed significantly in terms of the sector tourism, which is why many citizens have focused on developing activities tourism as a primary activity. In this municipality, villas and mountain huts dominate. are not very widespread. However, farmers still exist who migrate together with their livestock to the mountains and face a severe lack of energy supply electric. Practicing this tradition becomes very attractive, especially for foreign tourists who are curious about these unique customs of our country.

Therefore, the potential for the development of mountain tourism in these areas is high, and The Kosovo Agriculture Development Initiative (IADK) aims to the inclusion of transhumance in Kosovo's tourism offer will address the lack of electricity by supplying traditional mountain huts with systems solar. This is done within the framework of the project "Transhumance - a new tourist offer" of Kosovo and Montenegro", a two-year project (2020-2022]), funded by The European Union, through the IPA II cross-border cooperation program, Montenegro and Kosovo.

The project will to include the municipalities of Istog and Peja, and aims to improve basic conditions for providing services to tourists.

Within this framework, activity, in the municipality of Peja, a total of 40 candidates have applied. Based on of the criteria defined in the project, the selection of 15 candidates has been made to supply them with solar systems, 6 of which have the capacity and 9 with lower capacity.
