IADK Supports Certified Livestock Farmers with Modern Equipment in the Municipalities of Malisheva and Skenderaj
Agriculture and rural development continue to be important priorities for our organization, while also representing one of the main sources of income for farmers in Kosovo.
As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen professional capacities in the livestock sector, following the successful completion of training and certification under the “Livestock Technician” program, IADK has supported certified farmers with modern and essential equipment for the development and advancement of their livestock farming activities.
A total of 15 farmers benefited from this support, including 7 farmers from the Municipality of Malisheva and 8 farmers from the Municipality of Skenderaj.
The distributed equipment included: milk cooling tanks (lactofrizes) with capacities of 500 and 300 liters, double-cluster milking machines, 400-liter sprayers, 135 cm rotary mowers, round bale grabbers, electric pasture fencing systems, and other equipment necessary for livestock farms.
The equipment distribution ceremony was attended by Mr. Zenel Bunjaku, Executive Director of IADK, Mr. Sylë Dukolli, Director of the Directorate for Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development in the Municipality of Malisheva, Mr. Sabit Ferizi, Director of the Directorate for Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development in the Municipality of Skenderaj, as well as other municipal officials from the respective municipalities.
Through this support, IADK continues to contribute to the empowerment of farmers, increased productivity in the livestock sector, and the creation of better opportunities for economic development in the rural areas of Kosovo.
This activity was implemented within the framework of the project “Improving the employment and income generation opportunities in rural areas,” funded by Bread for the World from Germany and co-financed by the partner municipalities.
