CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR TRAINING AND GRANTS IN THE AGRICULTURAL AND FRUIT AND VEGETABLE PROCESSING SECTOR
The organization “Initiative for the Development of Agriculture of Kosovo” (IADK) is implementing the project “Improving Employment and Income-Generating Opportunities in Rural Areas”, a three-year project (2026–2028), supported by the donor Bread for the World from Germany and co-financed by partner municipalities.
During 2026, farmers, youth, and women in the Municipality of Malisheva will be supported through grants and trainings in the following sectors:

Grants for the establishment of greenhouses and strawberry orchards

Professional training in livestock farming (20 days) and support through grants

Professional training for 15 women/girls in fruit and vegetable processing (20 days) and support through grants
To benefit from grants in the livestock sector and fruit and vegetable processing, selected applicants must first attend 20 days of training according to programs validated by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA). After certification, they may apply for the grant scheme.
Therefore, farmers, women, and young people are invited to apply for the above-mentioned grants.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPLYING FOR GRANTS AND TRAININGS
a) Applicants must be residents of the Municipality of Malisheva.
b) Small-scale farmers (including youth aged 18–35) engaged in the fruit and vegetable sector, who are unemployed but have the potential to expand and diversify their agricultural activities.
c) Farmers/youth who have completed primary education, are engaged in the livestock sector, are unemployed, but have the potential to expand and diversify livestock activities.
d) Women/girls who have completed primary education, are unemployed, and are engaged or have the potential to engage in the production and processing of fruits and vegetables.
e) Applicants must have clear ideas that are aligned with the resources they possess and that contribute to income generation and agricultural development.
f) Applicants must be willing to attend the trainings and advisory services provided by the project and to cooperate with others in production, collection, or processing of agricultural products.
g) Applicants must be willing to co-finance the project/grant.
h) Applicants who have not benefited from grants in the last three years, live in rural areas, and face difficult economic conditions will be given priority.
Application forms can be obtained and submitted at IADK offices or at the Municipal Office for Agriculture in Malisheva.

Note: All applicants will be visited in the field, and the selection will be made based on the project criteria and available funds.
