IADK supports women from the Roma and Ashkali communities with essential equipment for food processing and confectionery!
IADK has successfully completed the distribution of essential equipment to women participating in the training program in the food processing sector. The distributed equipment supports two modules:
🍓 Preservation of fruits, vegetables and the like and
🍰 Confectionery
During this phase, IADK trained four groups of women from the municipalities of Vushtrri, Obiliq, Mitrovica and Lipjan. Each group attended five days of training, which included two days of theory and three days of practical work. The training equipped the women with new knowledge and skills, helping them become economically empowered and supporting the development of their small-scale production activities.
This activity aims to increase self-employment opportunities, strengthen the role of women in the community and support the creation of sustainable models of local economic development.
This collaboration is part of the project "Empowering Rural Communities through Agricultural Development," funded by the Swedish Agency for Development and International Cooperation (SIDA) and represented by the Swedish Embassy in Kosovo. The project funds are managed by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), while its implementation will be carried out by the Initiative for the Development of Agriculture in Kosovo (IADK).
