The sustainability of businesses in the fruit and vegetable processing sector plays a key and important role in the economic development of Kosovo. Recognizing the importance of this sector, IADK has organized the event with the theme: “Building sustainable partnerships in the Agro-Food sector, challenges and opportunities of partnership in rural development”. The purpose of this meeting was to create direct links between institutions, businesses and agricultural producers, with the aim of promoting cooperation, exchange of experiences and strengthening sustainable partnerships in the agro-food sector of the country.
Present at the event were Mr. Zenel Bunjaku – Executive Director of IADK, Ms. Antigona Dajakaj - Project Coordinator - Frieda for Kosovo, Ms. Isme Osmani – Representative of the PePeKo organization, Mr. Besim Sahiti – Owner of Agro Pharma Company, Mr. Liridon Kadriu – Representative of Agrion SH.P.K Company, Mr. Arsim Gashi – Representative of Dioren SH.P.K Company, Mr. Selami Osa – Owner of Osa Termosistem Company, representatives of the municipalities cooperating in the project, participating active businesses as well as IADK staff.
Through this activity, IADK showed its commitment to building strong partnerships between agricultural producers and local processors, contributing to the economic and social development of Kosovo.
This activity was organized within the framework of the project ““Empowering women, men and youth living in economically challenging rural areas, to establish sustainable livelihoods through agricultural and food processing activities” ”, funded by the Swiss donor FRIEDA.
