The town square of Lipjan was filled with colors, aromas and tastes of local products thanks to the participation of project workers and active women as well as farmers from various sectors of agriculture and food processing from the municipalities of Lipjan, Shtime, Vushtrri and Mitrovica.

The opening of the fair was attended by: Mr. Zenel Bunjaku – Executive Director of IADK, Mr. Imri Ahmeti – Mayor of the Municipality of Lipjan, Mr. Rexhep Rexhepi – Director of Agriculture in the Municipality of Lipjan and other representatives of the municipality and the FRIEDA project team

The fair aimed to promote local production, support participating local farmers and raise awareness about the importance of sustainable economic development in rural areas.

After the closing of the fair, all participants were certified with certificates of participation, while three of them were awarded with symbolic gifts for: Best Promotion, Most Creative Design and Most Unique Product.

This activity was organized by IADK and was carried out within the framework of the project:

“Empowering women, men and youth living in economically challenging rural areas, to establish sustainable livelihoods through agricultural and food processing activities”, funded by the Swiss donor FRIEDA, in cooperation with the Municipality of Lipjan.
